Beauty in the ring or on the trails

The Carnegie Abbey Club's Equestrian Center features stabling for 10 Club horses and ponies, a 100-by-200-foot outdoor ring of premier footing with show-quality jumps, and a grass ring. In addition, seven miles of picturesque trails offer one of the best ways to experience the delights of the Club's beautiful and varied landscape. Beginning construction in 2008 is a brand new, world-class equestrian center. The new barn will feature 48-stalls, allowing more members to board their horses during their stay at the Club. Set on over eight acres of land with Narragansett Bay views, the Carnegie Equestrian center takes this feature of the Club to new heights. Members will enjoy an indoor riding ring of premium footing, as well as an outdoor riding ring and event lawn.
Professional trainers are available for lessons offered to both adults and children, from beginners to advanced riders, in all disciplines. During the summer months the Club runs riding camps for our younger members, featuring stable management, horse care and riding instruction.
