Membership

The purpose of the Club is to provide members a destination that includes a Scottish-style links golf course, an equestrian program, tennis center, yachting activities, fully equipped Clubhouse, and spa, as well as a unique lifestyle in the fellowship of like-minded members. The Club intends to admit a limited number of qualified members; the maximum number of golf rounds per calendar year will not exceed 20,000. Membership Structure

Qualification for membership
Membership is by invitation only and shall be limited to individuals who are 23 years of age or older. Prospective members invited to apply for membership in the Club shall submit a completed and executed membership application. A membership application shall be deemed complete when all required information has been submitted to the Club. The Club's vision is to create a national and international membership. A member's immediate family is entitled to use the Club facilities. A member's immediate family includes the member's spouse and their unmarried children under the age of 23. The Club shall be governed by its Board of Directors in accordance with the Club's Articles of Organization, its By-Laws, and its Rules and Regulations.
Gentlemen and Ladies
The Club, in all its attitudes and activities, is equally oriented to both ladies and gentlemen in golf as well as other club activities.
The Membership Committee
The Membership Committee of the Club has been established to aid in the review of membership proposals and the selection of members. The Membership Committee reserves the right at its sole discretion to prescribe additional qualifications and requirements for membership.
Membership Categories
Currently, the following categories of membership are available for application to the Club:

Golf Abbey Members shall be entitled to use all of the facilities of the Club during operating hours on an availability basis. A Golf Abbey Member shall be entitled to use the Club's golf facilities without payment of greens fees on an unlimited priority basis. Greens fees will be charged for members' guests.
Social Abbey Members shall be entitled to unlimited use all of the facilities of the Club, with the exception of the golf facilities, during operating hours on an availability basis. Neither Social Abbey Members nor their guests shall be entitled to use the Club's golf facilities.
International Members-The Club may extend a limited number of International Memberships for members living outside of the United States. International Members' use of Club facilities is limited to two consecutive weeks per year.
Junior Abbey Golf Members shall be entitled to use all of the facilities of the Club during operating hours on an availability basis. Junior membership is available for applicants from the age of 24 to the age of 32. Junior members have the opportunity to become full Abbey Golf Members in the year of their 33rd birthday on an advantageous basis.
Waiting List
If an applicant has been approved for membership, the applicant shall be so notified and have 10 days within which to submit a written request to be placed on the waiting list in the category of membership applied for.
